Technical Support

We are hiring someone to provide technical support and training to teachers and school administrators on how to use our web application. You must be a former K-12 teacher or school administrator so you can speak our customers’ language and help them find creative solutions. You will work at home, plus some travel. Most tech support is by email, but there is also training and support over Zoom. The job is full-time, mostly during school hours on US Eastern time, starting in January or early February.

Qualifications

•  

You must have a prior K-12 career as a teacher, administrator, instructional tech, or IT application support. (This is non-negotiable.)

•  

You must have strong skills as a trainer.

•  

You must be able to analyze complex problems and come up with creative solutions.

•  

You must be able to learn all the features in the web application, some of which are abstract and technical. (You are not expected to troubleshoot hardware or network issues.)

•  

You must be self-motivated to work in isolation at home with minimal supervision.


Job Details

•  

Work at home.

•  

Travel about 2 days per month on average (varies by season) within the U.S. to give training.

•  

Work mostly during school hours on US Eastern time, with some flexibility.

•  

Qualified applicants will be given a written test for technical problem solving skills.

•  

Interviews will be conducted via web video meeting.

•  

Finalists may be asked to demonstrate their training skills via web conference to teach any subject of your choice, preferably about a software app.

•  

Finalists will go through a background check.

•  

Job starts in January or early February depending on your availability.

•  

Competitive salary, depends on experience.
